Steven Aurand, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Aurand co-founded CAP Index, Inc. with Dr. Figlio in 1988. He has completed graduate studies in Criminology and Statistics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and has published many articles. Mr. Aurand co-authored Delinquency in Puerto Rico: The 1970 Birth Cohort Study, Greenwood Press.

Jon D. Groussman, J.D. President and COO

Jon D. Groussman, J.D. is the President and COO of CAP Index, Inc., a company responsible for identifying, forecasting and mitigating crime and risk to 81 of the Fortune 100 companies. Organizations rely on Mr. Groussman for security management consulting services and strategic risk/liability mitigation solutions. He is nationally recognized for advising private corporations and government entities on crime prevention strategies, as well as post incident response and analysis. He frequently provides expert forensic analysis in litigation charging negligent security.

Mr. Groussman is often requested to provide training seminars and share his expertise in the areas of security and premises liability at national and international seminars/conferences. He is also retained by many companies to educate and train their employees on such topics as risk assessment techniques and workplace violence. Additionally, Mr. Groussman has taught courses in civil liability and the legal aspects of security management at Northeastern University.

Formerly, Mr. Groussman was the Vice President and Principal Consultant at Liability Consultants, Inc. He has also been employed as an investigative aide to the Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration in New York and Boston, and has performed an internal investigation for the U.S. Customs Service.

Mr. Groussman received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the International Association of Crime Analysts, and the Loss Prevention Research Council.
