CAP and McDonald’s will present “How to Be Everywhere: Tackling Multi-Store Security” at NRF Protect

Jon Groussman, President & COO, CAP Index and Rob Holm, Senior Director, Safety & Security – US Operations, McDonald’s, will be presenting on the Risk Assessment Management Program (R2AMP) co-developed by the two companies.

Session description: It looks like an insurmountable challenge: mitigating risk across a large portfolio of stores. There’s the measuring, the documenting, the responding to each individual location’s crime challenges and security threats. But whether you’re a billion dollar corporation or a small retailer, there are cutting-edge technologies available to manage your security, safety and risk management processes. In this session, join McDonald’s Rob Holm and learn how to adapt the company’s Risk Assessment Management Program (R2AMP) to your enterprise.

Learn to:

  • Develop a system and software solution to monitor, analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Better manage costs by optimizing and adjusting resource allocation.
  • Leverage security management tools and innovative processes across a large or small portfolio of stores.

CAP presented “Analyzing Today’s ATM Crimes to Prevent Tomorrow’s” at ATMIA US Conference 2017

Basia Pietrawska, Vice President, Crime Intelligence Analysis, CAP Index and Kelly Tyson, Project Manager, American Bankers Association, presented on the ABA Bank Capture system. ABA Bank Capture was designed to assist banks in analyzing bank crime trends including robberies, burglaries and larcenies, and ATM crimes. The system allows bank security and fraud professionals to input crime data, view incidents that have occurred at banks in their region or across the country, and benchmark losses and countermeasures against their peers. In addition, banks can be alerted to crimes within minutes after an incident is entered into the system, enabling banks to proactively prepare for and potentially prevent future events. This session will demonstrate the unique features of the ABA Bank Capture system as well as provide an in-depth analysis of ATM crime trends across the US over the past two years.

CAP Presented 2015 Restaurant Industry Crime & Security Measure Usage Trends Survey Findings

In conjunction with the Restaurant Loss Prevention & Security Association (RLPSA), the CAP Index team of Basia Pietrawska and Stephen B. Longo presented the findings of their 2015 Restaurant Industry Crime & Security Measure Usage Trends survey. Results included data from over 18,000 restaurant locations—representing over 30% of the RLPSA membership. The study was conducted through the active Regular Members of the RLPSA and was intended as a continued effort to monitor incident patterns and security measure use in the restaurant industry. The goal of the survey was to help member companies gain a greater awareness of the practices of other industry companies and how those measures are best put to use. The topics assessed and presented during the November 12, 2015 webinar were robbery, aggravated assault, and burglary experience; as well as the utilization of various security measures.
