As part of our ongoing commitment to advancing crime risk intelligence through data and innovation, we’re excited to announce the strategic expansion of our Research & Innovation Department. We’re welcoming two new Ph.D. candidates to the team, reinforcing our investment in academic rigor and applied expertise. These additions build on the strength of our existing team, which already includes two team members with doctoral degrees, and reflect our continued focus on developing best-in-class methodologies and solutions for our clients.
Hannah Steinman
Research Analyst
Ph.D. Candidate, Criminal Justice
Hannah joins us as a Research Analyst, bringing with her a deep academic and practical grounding in criminal justice. She will support custom modeling projects and contribute to advancing public safety strategies through applied research.
In her role, Hannah will work directly with clients to understand their unique challenges and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Her contributions will help ensure CAP remains at the forefront of intelligent crime risk forecasting.
Rachel Bleiman
Social Data Technician/Analyst
Ph.D. Candidate, Criminal Justice
Rachel joins CAP Index as a Social Data Technician & Analyst, where they will support the R&I team’s product development initiatives. With a strong background in data management and analysis, Rachel is well-positioned to enhance the quality and precision of our criminological databases—foundational to CAP’s trusted geographic risk scoring products.
As our databases continue to grow rapidly in scale and complexity, their skills will be essential in ensuring that our data remains accurate, structured, and actionable. Rachel’s expertise will also be instrumental as we develop innovative, data-driven solutions to better serve our clients across industries.
