Leadership in the security profession extends beyond individual organizations through service, collaboration, and the development of industry-wide standards. David Feeney’s appointment to the 2026 ASIS Global Board of Directors recognizes his continued commitment to advancing security and risk management practices while supporting professionals across the industry.

CAP Index is pleased to recognize David Feeney for being appointed to the 2026 ASIS Global Board of Directors.

David’s appointment reflects his long-standing leadership and service within ASIS and the broader security and risk management profession. He served as Chair of the ASIS Professional Standards Board for 2024 and 2025 and previously chaired the ASIS Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) Guideline Committee and Physical Security Council. David has also contributed extensively through service on ASIS community steering committees and as a member of ISO Technical Committee 292 for Security and Resilience Standards.

In addition to his work with ASIS, David is an active participant in several industry and public–private partnerships, including InfraGard, and holds memberships with ISC2, ISSA, and ISACA. His contributions to global best practices, including the ASIS ESRM Guideline, continue to influence how organizations approach security, resilience, and enterprise risk.
