Steven Aurand
President and CEO, Co-founder
Steven co-founded CAP Index in 1988. Today, his work includes directing the company’s research, technology, and corporate strategies and helping to establish security-related industry best practices. He received his B.A. from Haverford College and pursued graduate studies in Criminology and Statistics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Stephen Longo
Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President
Stephen leads CAP Index’s revenue-generating activities, focusing on aligning the company’s sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive impactful growth. He also leads CAP’s strategic initiatives to identify new market opportunities, foster innovative solutions, and deliver value to clients.
Kimberly Clarke
Vice President of Operations and Administration
Kimberly oversees CAP Index’s operational and administrative functions, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with organizational goals. She manages office operations, handles HR duties, facilitates collaboration between departments, and implements policies to improve productivity and support risk management and security solutions.
Brian Cunningham
Vice President of Systems Development
An experienced application developer, Brian is responsible for the advancement and integrity of CAP Index’s CRIMECAST System and Security Management software. He leads the planning and administration of the company’s technology infrastructure and its information security policies and practices.
Dr. Grant Drawve
Vice President of Geospatial Crime Solutions
Grant holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice, an M.A. in Criminology & Criminal Justice, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. His unique passion for understanding how place matters serves as the driving force in shaping the trajectory of CAP Index’s crime forecasting methodologies and fortifying the company’s public safety strategies.
David R. Feeney, CPP
Vice President of Security Consulting
Dave brings over 20 years of experience in physical and cyber security, risk assessment, and enterprise strategy. He leads CAP Index’s Security Consulting Team, guiding clients with practical, data-driven solutions. A longtime ASIS leader, he helped author the ESRM Guideline and continues to shape global security best practices.
Dr. Casey Harris
Vice President of Crime Risk Modeling
Casey specializes in statistical modeling to predict crime across places and over time. His nearly two decades of work in community-oriented criminology, demography, and quantitative methodology help drive CAP Index’s forecasting methodologies. He holds an M.A. in Criminology and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Penn State University.
Walter Palmer
Senior Advisor
After five years as Chief Operating Officer, Walter continues his tenure at CAP Index as Senior Advisor, providing strategic insight to the executive team and supporting key clients. Walter collaborates with key industry associations to help shape best practices and tracks evolving trends and standards to maintain CAP Index’s leadership in crime risk assessment.
Frank Bradley
Executive Director of Global Accounts
Frank brings over 22 years of experience in enterprise strategy, client engagement, and global account leadership. As Executive Director of Global Accounts at CAP Index, he leads enterprise relationships and drives strategic growth across global clients. With more than a decade at CAP Index, Frank has played a key role in product strategy and scaling sales operations, helping organizations translate insight into impact.
Emily Blackburn
Director of Geospatial Crime Solutions
Emily has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience, focusing on analyzing spatial data and crime patterns. She holds an M.A. in Criminology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. At CAP Index, she leads initiatives in crime data collection and analysis to advance the delivery of crime risk intelligence.
Jen Eileen
Director of Product Management
Jen is the Director of Product Management, overseeing the development of both client solutions and core products. She has over a decade of experience managing complex product initiatives across multiple industries and focuses on delivering high-quality, user-driven solutions that meet client needs and business objectives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Colorado.

Lisa leverages over 20 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations to enhance the company’s visibility and stakeholder engagement. She focuses on crafting compelling narratives and managing media relations, positioning CAP Index as the leader in crime risk assessment.
