2023 US Crime Risk Database: Updated Census Data Provides for a More Precise Analysis
With updated census and police data comes a new and enhanced crime risk model. For the 2023 update, our data experts had over 20,000 additional block groups to analyze. These updated block groups provided for a “recalibrated” analysis of the social disorganization within those areas, and therefore, a more consistent crime risk analysis. CAP Index’s ongoing commitment to provide customers with the latest, most current information drives our continuous efforts to refine and improve our models.
