Having more data at your fingertips means that you can make better-informed decisions to identify and mitigate crime risks. The new year brings new crime risk challenges for our partners and clients. Now is the time to update your reports with the latest data, and to score your Mexico locations using our new scoring model*. We also want to make sure you try the new features and data intelligence within the CRIMECAST Platform to help you identify, rank, and compare your locations as you prioritize critical security decisions.
New Point of Interest mapping capabilities
Points of Interest (POIs) are locations that can potentially augment or mitigate crime risks. They provide a deeper look into the makeup of a given community and its crime risks and are a helpful addition to any security assessment.
The CRIMECAST platform now offers interactive mapping capabilities so you can see, in real-time, how your POIs augment or mitigate crime risk around your sites. By adding certain locations—such as bars, restaurants, or banks—directly to your maps, you can see an extra layer of context and get a deeper understanding of your crime risks.
In-platform access to FEMA and FBI data
Having access to the most up-to-date national data helps organizations and individuals protect against and respond to hazards of all kinds. The CRIMECAST Platform now offers direct access to data from FEMA’s National Risk Index and the FBI’s Crime Data Explorer, providing more data and resources so you can make the most informed decisions.
Simple, one-click report updates
As the new year rolls in, it’s time to make sure you have the latest crime risk data available. You can easily update your reports with just one click, or upgrade your reports to include added features like heat maps, supplemental scores, and additional scoring methodologies.
* Please contact your sales representative to learn more about our new scoring model for Mexico, and to run reports for Mexico locations.

Our property selectors are not discouraged from a site just because it receives a high score. What we do is issue every store – all of them – a security classification. The classification determines how we allocate our security resources to that store.
CAP Index's online platform, CRIMECAST, is great. It is easy to use and quick!
Bank of America
In industries where there is high public contact and a customer is coming to our location (such as retail), why would you leave it to chance when planning security when there is an easy, affordable tool? When investing a million dollars on a location, what is this small charge compared to what it may cost you when you get sued?
CAP Index assessments are a must for anyone engaged in asset protection. The new website is much improved and as important, easy to navigate.

We have been using CAP Index for a few years and include it in our security vulnerability assessments. Highly recommend it.
